Scriptorium Wisdom: The Odyssey is a high school composition and literature study. Since good writing flows from ideas, this book offers essays and discussion questions, while encouraging commonplace journaling, to help the student invent content.

Great epics such as The Odyssey, Beowulf, The Divine Comedy, and Moby Dick have in common, not the superficial supposed structure, often set up to define epic, such as having 24 books, beginning in medias res, etc.; rather they are all heroic narratives of the pilgrimage of the soul seeking salvation, told through the mythic stories of their people.
